Enescu Sonata with SSO cellist Nathan Chan & pianist Oana Rusu Tomai

Join us for a wonderful recital! The youngest Seattle Symphony musician, 23 year old cellist Nathan Chan joins Artistic Director, pianist Oana Rusu Tomai for an evening of great Enescu music. Praised for its originality and impassioned character, Enescu Sonata for cello and piano op. 26 no. 2 is a masterpiece of great beauty and elegance, one of the most celebrated pieces in the chamber repertoire. The concert will take place against an exquisite backdrop of landscape paintings by two international artists: Claudiu Presecan from Romania and Vasily Reshchuk from Russia. The concert is presented in collaboration with the Romanian American Chamber Concerts and Arts-ROCCA.
