Mendelssohn & Schubert at Seattle Symphony
When: Saturday, Jan 28 2017 @ 08:00 PM (GMT-8:00)
Where: Benaroya Hall - Seattle, WA
Let's enjoy together a 50% off tickets offer for a superb concert featuring the masterworks of composers who reached unimaginable heights of artistry while still barely out of adolescence! Together we will savor The Hebrides composed by Mendelssohn at the age of 21 and Symphony no. 5 composed by Schubert at the 'ripe' age of 19! Continuing the theme of an hommage to youth, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin (dedicated to the memory of the bright youths who died in World War I) will astound us with its out-of-this-world orchestration. The program will also feature the strikingly original Moscow born Alexei Lubimov performing the playfully youthful Piano Concerto in D major. We will sit in adjacent seats and hang out at the intermission. See you soon!
